Here we go...to the next season

So they lost. Yes, there will be no Pennsylvania Super Bowl. urgh. I most likely will not watch the Super Bowl now....no to be a bad sport or anything, but it's just not the same. Alas, a good season ending in heartbreak...atleast we have a fresh young quarterback with a year of playoff experience under his belt to look forward to next year. So chin up...the Stillers will come back hungry to get to the big dance again next year. To me, last year was so terrible that I can't help but have faith that this taste of success will fire 'em up for next season...and Big Ben will be ready for redemption.

On a jollier note, I had a fantastic weekend of riding at Seven Springs. I've definately improved from novice to a solid intermediate level snowboarder. The first few times I went this season I was baffled by people that would do five or six runs in a row...i was beat after 2!!! But now that I don't fall and I actually flow down the mountain, I could go for hours...what a good feeling. It's like the first time i road my bike up a big hill without having to stop.

It's kind of surreal to fly down the same mountains we climb up on 2 wheels. I haven't really climbed the steepest though. There's this one hellish climb on the front face that they had in the 24 hours of Seven Springs race (i watched the race, jake actually rode in it). I watched so many people look like they were about to die riding up that thing. Good 'ol Cortina Trail...a ton of fun in the winter, and a whole lotta pain in the summer :o)
