I feel like the city of Pittsburgh can heave a giant sigh of relief. For 26 years we have been building this massive super bowl win expectation, and it has finally come to pass. Yes, it's exciting. But mainly, it's gratifying in the most relaxing way. Pittsburgh deserves it. Pittsburgh shines so bright when it's victorious. One for the thumb. mmm.
In true Steeler fan fashion, we couldn't sit idly by on the couch and watch the super bowl by ourselves. We drove over to the Poconos (about 2.5 hours away) and settled in for a drunken super bowl party, complete with borrowed Roethlisberger jerseys (mine resembled a dress more than a jersey, and I traipsed around in it like a little kid with a new toy), chicken wings, and pierogies. Mmm, pierogies. So now I'm back to work, and periodically checking KDKA for updates on the parade. My final day of Steelers mania, then it's time to get back to work. It's been such a nice trip.
