I can take my swimmies off
So the rain has subsided (for now). I was beginning to believe my jeep would need to be traded in for a kayak. Though, we didn't get hit nearly as hard as those that were flooded in Massachussets, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island. And I must say, it's rather nice to see everything so lush. On my walk home yesterday aftenoon, I sauntered past a lilac bush and was hit so hard with the scent that I nearly fell over. I love how it smells after a good rain, but when the sun comes out, and flowers are in bloom...that smell is taken to a whole new level.

sobriety
Neil Young has his new anti-war album "Living with the War" online for free: NEIL YOUNG
Listening to this kind of stuff always makes me sad and introspective, and pisses me off at the same time. When I think of smarmy old Bush in his fresh pressed suits with his legion of SUVs, I want to scream. But, instead I'll just pray for lives lost and lives in danger.
