Ever run into yourself? You know, you're walking about doing whatever you usually do (like getting a coffee, which is what I happened to be doing) and you see someone that looks remarkably like an older version of yourself. Not so much in facial features, but clothing style, mannerisms, and overall presentation (sounds like I'm scoring an ice dancing routine). Welp, I just encountered a 10 years from now Shannan. She looked roughly late 30's, wearing a dark brown knee length cordouroy skirt with camel colored square toed shoes, bare legs, and a mid-length maroon tweed coat. She had a messenger bag slung over her shoulder and was ordering coffee!! heh. Anyway, I was amused. It was very character-in-a-sitcom-meets-future-self.
This morning I'm drinking a latte. Fully loaded. I've been drinking a cup of coffee every other day, and I savor every last drop. mmm. coffffeee!

high octane
When I bought my Jeep the salesman told me to fill it with 87...premium schmemium he smirked. No need to go higher than regular. He said to fill it with 87 'til about 100,000 miles, then go up an octane after another 100,000, then after another 50 or so if I hear a knocking noise, go to 93...(He wanted to emphasize that this thing would last a looong time). Anywho, I'm now realizing that perhaps I too can run on 87. I just finished a cup of fully caffeinated java...and MAN DO I FEEL IT! woosh. I may as well have intravenously injected the juice of a dozen coffee beans into my veins, because that's what it feels like. It seems I no longer need 2-3 cups of morning java. wow. Never thought I'd see the day.
